War Office to Foreign Office.-(Received July 27.)
THE Director of Military Operations presents his compliments to the Under- Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, and, in reply to his letter dated the 25th July, 1910, begs to inform him that, although news of the engagement of German military instructors for China has been received through the foreign press, no notification has reached his directorate so far from any British official source. Any reports that may arrive on the subject will be communicated to the Foreign Office without delay.
